Trai started dancing at the age of two and dancing competitively at four. She started teaching dance at fourteen and started judging for dance competitions at 21.

Trai went on to pursue a career in dance in New York and California She has always come back to her love of teaching dance.

She has performed in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and was one of the leads in the original Galveston! The Musical. She was in the Off Broadway original Thin Line, then in California performed  at the Kodak Theater with Latin Singer, Noelia and danced for Universal Studios Theme Park. She was in the musicals, Aida, Music Man, A Chorus Line, "R" Street he Musical and Beauty and the Beast. In New York she assisted the legendary Frank Hatchett in his classes at Broadway Dance Center.

Trai settled in Springfield and graduated from Missouri State with a bachelor’s in Dance and a master’s in Early Childhood Development. She has a four year old tiny dancer and an awesome husband.
