Ceanna Crosby began dancing at the age of two and fell in love with ballet from an early age. At six years old, she joined Springfield Ballet, a nonprofit pre-professional ballet school in Springfield, Missouri, where she trained for over ten years.

During her time at Springfield Ballet, Ceanna performed in ten performance seasons, including Beauty and the Beast, A Tale of Two Wolves, Red Riding Hood, Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, and the annual production of The Nutcracker. Her featured roles included Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, and Belle’s understudy in Beauty and the Beast. She received numerous scholarships throughout her training, including Springfield Ballet’s full-tuition scholarship in 2018 and 2019. She also trained as a ballet instructor, served as an assistant teacher for four years, performed with Missouri State University at the Springfield Dance Alliance Fall Concert, and participated in Springfield Ballet’s Summer Intensives and other community performances.

Ceanna has been teaching dance for the past nine years and is passionate about developing strong technique while instilling an appreciation for ballet history and terminology. She teaches dancers of all ages and experience levels, has choreographed award-winning routines, and has trained students to compete at the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP). She is proud to have mentored dancers accepted into programs at the Joffrey Ballet School and the University of Oklahoma School of Dance.​​

 

Outside of the studio, Ceanna earned her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minor in Childhood Development from Missouri State University in 2024. While at Missouri State, she was a member of the university’s Diamond Girls dance team and also performed with the Ozark Lunkers Lady Lures dance team. She currently works as an Account Executive at Professional Office Environments while continuing to share her passion for dance through teaching and choreography.
