Studio VIE Conduct Policies
-
No food or drink (including gum) is allowed in the dance classrooms. Closed water bottles are the only exception. Please keep all food and drinks in the lobby.
-
No cell phones allowed in classrooms. If a student needs to keep a cell phone available for emergency reasons, he or she may store it in a bag or give it to a teacher to hold through class.
-
No toys in the classroom.
-
Parents and visitors should remain in the lobby during class times to avoid distractions and interruptions. Students should remember to be respectful outside of classrooms during breaks to avoid loud interruptions for classes in progress. We have a closed class policy for the safety of our students and faculty.
-
Conversations and language use in the lobby, student lounge and classrooms should be appropriate for a family environment. This applies to all students, parents, and guests. If you have questions or concerns about the studio classes or policies, please discuss those directly with the owners.
Liability Waiver
All participants must sign a liability waiver. All activities at Studio VIE (including fitness classes, dance classes, CLI studios and social events) are “at your own risk” participation. Studio VIE, or any of their instructors, owners or affiliates are not liable for accidents or injuries incurred by participants.
Recital Dates and Policies
We will host our Holiday Extravaganza showcase on Saturday, December 12, 2026. All dancers will have an opportunity to perform in this fun family event. More information will be released closer to the event.
Our spring recitals will be held June 11-13, 2027 at Republic High School. More information will be provided as we near the performance date. Participation in our spring recital is optional, but highly recommended for all students in performance classes.
Our La Vie Dance Company will have their annual Company Showcases on Sunday, June 13, 2027.
Spring recital dress rehearsals will be held during classes in spring once we receive costumes. Parents will receive information about alterations or embellishments that need to be made following this dress rehearsal. Dress rehearsal information will be provided in the spring semester.
All dance classes will learn material to be presented at recital. Technique classes do not perform in the recital.
Company members will perform selected competitive pieces during recital and will use costuming from competition. Company may be asked to purchase pieces to be used for an opening number or finale. Company members in leveled classes have the option to perform only company routines or purchase costumes and perform with their classes.
Recital Fees
Costume fees vary per class and are due in January/February. Please budget $80-$130 depending on what class(es) your child is enrolled in. Costume fees cover the cost of the costume, embellishments, props, as well as a recital t-shirt for your dancer.
Recital fees will be due in April. Budget around $90 per student and $45 per additional student in the same household for recital fee. Recital Fees cover the cost of the theater rental and labor during the shows.
With your paid recital fee, you will receive a discount code for $30 off your recital tickets and a digital video of the entire show provided to your email address on file. Additional tickets may be purchased at a later date and this information will be provided in the spring semester via email.
