When:

2023-2024 Company Audition Workshop

Wednesday, August 7- Thursday, August 8, 2023

5:00-8:00 pm each day

If you are unable to make this workshop but would still like to audition, please contact jill@studioviedance.com to get information on an alternative audition.

If your dancer is between the ages of 5 and 7 please contact us directly to discuss the opportunities for your young dancers to be a part of our La Vie Mini Dance Company!

Where:

Studio VIE

1515 E. Lark St

Springfield, Missouri 65804

Audition fee is $60 per dancer and includes workshop classes and audition scoring from our faculty.

How:

Students will audition for the La Vie Dance Company. Please be prepared to dance in all styles of dance including tap, ballet, and a variety of jazz styles.

Auditions are held in a class-style atmosphere. Company directors and guest teachers will evaluate all dancers as they take class for memory, attitude, and technique. We want to see how you work in class.

At the end of auditions, dancers will be asked to perform the material learned to show performance skills. Show us your best smiles and technique!

Then...:

Company directors and guest teachers will discuss each dancer and decide which company would be his or her best placement. Company directors will contact you directly with opportunities.

When I Make It?

All new company members will receive an email about placement and the upcoming team meeting.

Contracts and August Company Fees will be due by Monday, August 22.

Company Rehearsals will be held on Mondays from 5:00-9:15 pm and some extra rehearsal times TBD depending on need. Release times vary depending on Premiere, Ovation or Encore placement and age.
